Yoga that fits YOU

The Spoonie Yoga Studio library is filled with hundreds of yoga classes and meditations, all designed for people living with chronic pain and chronic illness. Every day is different as a spoonie, so the library is organized by intensity level, making it easy to find the practice that's right for you in the present moment. Here's a peek at some of our classes!

Supine Yoga to Build Strength

We have lots of strength building classes, including three training plans: Supine, Intermediate and Upright.

Yoga for PTSD

Mental and physical health are intimately connected. We like to take a holistic approach to address both with our yoga practice.

Restorative Yoga for Extreme Fatigue

Fatigue is one of our community's most frustrating symptoms, and we have lots of classes to help you cope.

Yoga Nidra for Pain Relief

Our library includes full length yoga nidra practices and many other meditation styles so you can find what's right for you.

Chair Yoga Sun Salutations

There are so many ways of doing traditional asanas, and we love sharing these options!

How to Set Boundaries (With Examples)

Yoga is so much more than just physical poses. We like to share practical tools that empower you to take your yoga off the mat.

Meet the Instructor

Hi! I’m Rachel. I'm a yoga instructor who specializes in yoga for chronic illness. Although I hold multiple certifications, the classes I teach are largely inspired by my own firsthand experiences with chronic illness and my personal yoga practice.

I began teaching yoga professionally in 2015 with the desire to provide classes for people like me who are living with chronic illness and other disabilities that may require something a little different than a traditional asana practice.

You are such a beautiful soul and the best yoga teacher :) I really love your yoga vids. Thank you very much!

So many yoga videos treat adjustments as an extra or don't even consider it. I really appreciate you working it in so naturally and not adding any shame to it. The modifications were a helpful reminder it's about what feels good, not "accomplishing" a certain thing.
